Monologue One
Yes, I am still unrefined by you, Desired
One...
Unrefined, by you, My Heaven.
You have leaned over me.
You look at me.
You want to bear fruit through me.
Breath. Conception.
I feel you within me.
Above our cradle,
The unbridled infinite hovers.
And your voice was heard.
That all-harmonious song of yours
took flesh within my flesh, through
flowers, trees, and seas:
“You. Through You.
Poetry.
Poetry is Pleasure.
It is Pleasure.
The world is my fruit.
The world written in your womb…”
It said.
“Your heart and your weapon,” it said.
And its hands stretched over me again.
It molds me again and again.
Merging into my flesh,
You opened, Summers,
Winters and Autumns.
It stirs with the stamen of the sun.
In the heights of the night.
I merge the dew of fire, water,
Earth and air.
It touches me, I think.
I hear chirping.
Oh, its all-harmonious breath in my
breath.
It hears my bosom.
I think that from my loins, instincts of
thousands of beasts escape.
I become a part of it.
And “the two shall become one flesh.”
