Poetry By Abeera Mirza ।Influential young poet of Pakistan

Abeera Mirza

1. Life, A Bubble
We live inside a bubble
We enjoy less and worry double
We panic when we are in trouble
We yearn for everything certifiable
We believe that we are irreplaceable
We don't like it when we are accountable
We give up when things start turning unstable
That's why,
We can never
accomplish anything commendable

2. I UNCEASINGLY MISS YOU

Gazing at our photo
Wondering when I can hug you.
Reflecting what life has in store for us
Confronted with chances so few.
At this time in the previous years,
Excitement could never be measured.
Restrained by the world's inflicted pain
I couldn't be with you, my beloved and treasured.
As I look beyond where we are now
Pondering how we can physically be together,
This loneliness is drowning me to death
May this circumstance not continually put us asunder.
I can never say I am very busy
Though my tasks are plenty and in queue.
For I know the days are draggingly passing by
In my heart, I unceasingly miss you.
Letting go of my wildest imaginations
How would you physically be when I'm back:
Long haired, bearded, moustache, fat or robust?
Your presence completes the emptiness -something I lack!
Though grown ups you've become
You'll forever be my precious two.
In computers and the internet, you both are geeks.
Do always remember: I am proud of you!❤

3. SOMEONE'S BETTER

Gone are the grappled troubles
Your presence razes all my rubbles.
You've made me see the good though seem bad
But now, you're deserting me, oh so sad!
You surely mean a lot to me
Yet you still seem to disagree.
You think everything is insufficient.
And life with me is deficient.
You'd better find a love for you is perfect
Surely when it comes, you'll always see the defect.
For you are the key to its imperfection
And this often leads to utter disconnection.
It's always best to let you go
For even if I love you so
You don't deserve my time and care.
Someone's better somewhere out there.

4. HAPPINESS

Happiness is a state of mind
Where love and joy, I'd find.
Some life baggage, I leave behind
To myself, I choose to be kind.
Happiness is a state of choice
When I opt to truly rejoice
Withstanding the world's chaos and noise,
All I want to listen to is your heart's loving voice.
Happiness is a desire for real,
That no one could ever steal.
Without reservations, express how I feel
And everything in me to reveal.
Happiness is what you can never dictate,
My own decisions, I solely make.
Live a life of love for my own sake,
Never putting my future at stake.
So never attempt to control my fate,
For I am ever-willing to wait
Whoever leads me to heaven's gate
Ready to say "yes, my long-sought mate!"
Happiness is the state of my soul,
God alone can make me whole.
In sin, my heart was black as coal,
Yet God will bring me to heaven, my ultimate goal.

5. FAREWELL

I've got to say "farewell"
For now, I'm happy to tell.
This is my ultimate goodbye.
Not a single drop of tear to cry.
Farewell to you, the old "me!"
Elated like winning a prix.
Call of a grandeur awakening,
To a better self, I am becoming.
Life of anxieties and melancholy,
Recreated into joy and serenity.
Life of fear and loneliness,
Now filled with love and happiness.
Drowned into the waters of desperation,
Now facing the beauty with sheer admiration.
It is my time to shine and rejoice
For in my life, this is my best choice!
Farewell to the self of my yesterdays,
Know the new me without overlays.
See the most beautiful transformation,
Richly deserving great felicitation.
Leaving behind cynicism, be shunned
As the days roll by and quickly spun
It's a day to wear my heart on my sleeve,
I am at my best, trust and believe!
