From the Launch Room of Two Books by Edy Samudra Kertagama 

The launch of two books by Edy Samudra Kertagama which was carried out by UKMBS UNILA and Lampung Literatur on January 27 2025, presented two speakers, namely Naim Emel Prahana and Solihin Utjok, both writers from Metro Lampung, moderated by Edi Siswanto, as a practitioner, Lecturer at FKIP University of Lampung . 

 Edy Samudra Kertagama 

It is known that poet Edy Samudra Kertagama, who started writing in 1979, has previously published several single books, Anthology: Dry (1997), Nyanyian Sunyi (2002), Short poems Dew White (2004), Mantra Sang Nabi (2016), Carriage Hand in Hand and Sajak Burung Rajawali (2019), and at the end of 2024, poet Edy Samudra Kertagama will publish two books at once, namely Senja and Gerimis and Arutala, these two books were published by Lampung Literatur and one poem in Lampung was published by Labrak Library. 3 Naim Emel Prahana revealed that poet Edy Samudra Kertagma is a poet who is serious about pursuing the world of poetry as proven by his works being published in several foreign magazines. And poet Edy Samudra Kertagama also enjoyed his life as a poet, said Naim. Naim added, Edy Samudra Kertagam as a poet is not influenced by anything, and he still writes whether it is about social or romantic themes, the poet's job is to write apart from observing what is around him for a work of poetry, Naim added. 

On this occasion, Solihin Utjok, Lampung Writer and Chair of the Metru Arts Council, in his discussion, said that this book is almost about romance and a spiritual journey. Before the two books Senja dan Gerimis and Arutala were published, poet Edy Ssmudra Kertagama published the Anthology of Mantra Sang Nabi in 2016. 

In his presentation, Solihin Utjok said that in the two books by poet Edy Samudra Kertagama there are values ​​of search, willingness to accept love, pain, pain, and psychological destruction and even death. So in this context it can be called psycho spiritual, said Utjok. 

Meanwhile, Chair of UKMBS Lampung University, Lentera Dzulkarnain, as Chair of UKMBS University of Lampung, in his speech said that the birth of two books by Edy Samudra Kertagama, "Senja and Gerimis" and Arutala, was a trigger for the community, especially for art lovers, to take up the spirit of what was done by the poet Edy Samudra Kertagama, "Moreover, today there are increasingly fewer works being produced, especially in the field of poetry and literary works, and we need to maintain the ecosystem in its development," added Lentera. Present on the occasion of the launch of two books by poet Edy Samudra Kertagama which was held by UKMBS Unila in collaboration with Lampung Literatur and Mata Dunia Literature House Poet and Director Ari Pahala Hutabarat, Anton Kurniawan, Wahid Maman Bayzuri (Jabal Tanggamus Theater), Lampung Regional Library, the Berkat Yakin Hati Community Pena, Classica, University of Lampung, UMITRA, Darmajaya University Satu Nusa University, Itera, IAIN Metro, Literature Forum, Camp Film, Dewan Metro Arts, Corner Space Community, Impas Community, Literature Forum and UKMs from various universities in Lampung Province.
