Sundarganj Sahitya Sangsad's discussion and Iftar Mahfil
Sundarganj Sahitya Sangsad's discussion and Iftar Mahfil was organized. The discussion and Iftar Mahfil were organized on Wednesday (March 26) at Sabuj Shikshalay and Green Residential School and College in Sundarganj Upazila of Gaibandha district. The program was presided over by the organization's president and writer Nasreen Rekha and moderated by playwright Anwar Rashid. Dr. Shafiul Islam Bhuiyan spoke as the main discussant. Sundarganj Sahitya Sangsad's vice-president Ekramul Haque, vice-president Azim Uddin Sarkar, eminent journalist Shahjahan Miah, eminent organizer Shariful Islam and the organization's co-general secretary Kushal Roy also spoke. Islamic music was performed at the discussion and Iftar Mahfil program by active member of the organization and music artist Ershadul Islam and retired army officer and writer Matiur Rahman. In addition, writer Habibullah Sarkar, poet Rudra Acharya, poet and journalist Anisur Rahman Agun, writer and organizer Al Amin Moh, lyricist Monowarul Islam, writer Sabrina Jahan Sumi, writer and organizer Rudra Neel, writer Faiyaj Islam Fahim, writer Jannatul Ferdousi Jinat, writer Morasalin Sultana Meem, writer Purnta and many others recited poems at the event. It is worth noting that the discussion meeting and iftar mahfil program began with the recitation of the Holy Quran and before iftar, prayers were offered for all those present, including the martyred freedom fighters of 1971.
